NeighborLink collects information you provide directly when you use our platform:

• Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code
• Verification data: Government-issued ID (for Pro Workers), profile photo, and verification status
• Job information: Job descriptions, photos, budget range, and preferred timing
• Payment information: Processed via Stripe — we do not store your full payment card number
• Communication data: Messages between homeowners and workers on the platform
• SMS opt-in: If you opt into SMS notifications, we store your phone number to send job updates via Twilio

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Match homeowners with verified Pro Workers based on ZIP code and service category
• Send SMS notifications (job confirmations, worker en route alerts) via Twilio when opted in
• Process payments through Stripe for completed jobs
• Facilitate communication between homeowners and workers
• Mediate disputes and handle customer support requests
• Send transactional emails (job confirmations, payment receipts, account updates)
• Detect and prevent fraud on the platform

3. Information Sharing

Stripe: We share payment data with Stripe to process transactions. Stripe's privacy policy applies to their handling of your financial data: stripe.com/privacy

Twilio: If you opt into SMS, your phone number is shared with Twilio to deliver messages. Twilio's privacy policy applies: twilio.com/privacy

We do not sell your data to third-party advertisers or ad networks. We do not share your personal information with companies outside of NeighborLink for their own marketing purposes.

Limited information (your first name and ZIP code) is shared with Pro Workers when you book them — no address is shared until a confirmed booking.

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained until you request deletion. Job records are retained for 7 years for tax compliance and legal purposes. Payment records are retained in accordance with financial regulations. Analytics data is anonymized and retained for up to 24 months.

5. Your Rights

• Right to deletion: You may request that we delete your account and personal data at any time by emailing privacy@neighborlink.polsia.app
• Right to access: You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
• Right to correction: You may update your profile information at any time through your account settings
• SMS opt-out: You can reply STOP to any SMS message to opt out at any time

6. Cookies

NeighborLink uses analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work correctly without them.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) to protect data in transit. Payment data is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
